About Shikenah Healthcare Ltd
Shikenah Healthcare Ltd is a registered private care provider based in Sheffield that delivers care and support packages for young people aged 16-25 in semi-independent accommodation.
We support young people with learning difficulties, low level ADHD and challenging and mild risk taking behaviours, those facing emotional challenges due to trauma, family breakdown or other personal difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
Our Vision
At Shikenah Healthcare Ltd, our vision is to offer a comprehensive, flexible, personal support and care services and accommodation for young people with various challenges in a safe environment to enhance their development and transition to adulthood. We therefore aim to develop the life skills and knowledge of our young service users so that they become self-sufficient and to be able to move on to live independently.
This will be achieved through personalised support and mentoring, commitment to empowering our service users to make personal decisions and on-going assessments and reviews to improve the quality of our service. We are strongly committed to developing our staff so that they deliver an unparalleled service that achieves above CQC compliance requirements.
Our focus is the service users, whose lives we aim to make better and purposeful. Our services are tailored to meet the user’s needs and we use will the toolkits designed and recommended by CQC to achieve this and more. We believe that our service users must live in an environment where they can get the best support they need to be able to make the right choices and decisions without pressure.
Our vision is to enable our service users to enjoy life to the fullest and maximise their potential to achieve more in life. We envisage to become a lighthouse in the community and a place of change for young people with challenges who at times are isolated and rejected by society. Our aim is to make Shikenah Healthcare Ltd a place where they feel accepted, supported and nourished to become valued citizens when they move into independent living.
Our Mission Statement
To provide a range of bespoke, high quality, practical, person-centered support services for young people from a diverse background, aged between 16 and 25 years old, in semi-independent accommodation. We specialise in personal care, emotional support, support for young people with mental health challenges and behavioural challenges, substance misuse challenges, victims of domestic abuse, and victims of trauma such as asylum seekers. The practical support we provide include registering with a GP, access to services, contact with family, and signposting to specialist services.
Our service is designed for clients with short to medium term support needs and is delivered in a safe environment, with freedom of choice, privacy, dignity and respect to accord our service users the right to live a full and active life and achieve independence.
We are committed to high quality standards and this means delivering an excellent individually tailored support to each of our service users through our dedicated, experienced, trained and knowledgeable staff.
